Pick a color, any color
First, select what you want to apply it to. Then click the small arrow next to any Color button, and make your choice. Choose from the Standard Colors or from a spectrum of Theme Colors based on the currently applied theme.
Or click More Colors, click the magnifying glass icon, and use the color picker to select a color from anything on your screen.
It works the same for object borders and fills. To see the color picker in action, check out this video.

Before you can change the color scheme for your presentation, you need to know which elements are associated with which scheme color category. Is there any information on this for office 2011. The last information I had was from 2002 which was helpful. Since then I have spent way to much time trying to figure this out. Is there anywhere that I can find out the elements associated with the color category?

It’s great that there are so many colour choices, however in Excel 2011 for Mac the F4 “repeat previous action” is not possible on a Mac. Usually Command+Y will repeat the previous action, but it doesn’t work with colours.
